The Boston Police Department recently purchased an $89,000 ice cream truck for their vehicle fleet. If you're thinking that this truck was purchased for an elaborate sting operation or to be converted into a SWAT Team truck, then you have no faith in humanity. The truck was purchased for “Operation Hoodsie Cup,” with the goal of distributing free ice cream to the public. Boston Police have been giving away ice cream since 2010. The truck is wrapped in Boston Police Department logos and decorated with balloons. The ice cream is donated by local creamery, HP Hood (thus the name "Operation Hoodsie Cup"). It would be great if every police department would give out free ice cream during the summer. Big Worm probably wouldn't be too happy with people getting free ice cream. Playing with his money is like playing with his emotions.
